The 2026 AI for Good Hackathon is a 48-hour, in-person competition where college students work in teams to create original AI solutions addressing real social challenges. The event is open to currently enrolled U.S. university students age 18 or older from any academic discipline, including technical and non-technical fields. Participants may bring perspectives from areas such as AI, engineering, psychology, the arts, and other disciplines to help develop solutions involving raw photo and video data and topics such as youth resilience and wellbeing. Teams of one to three participants will build their projects during the hackathon, submit their solutions, and present their work for judging. Projects are evaluated on model performance, solution approach, creativity, feasibility, operational impact, presentation quality, and responses during Q&A. Cash-equivalent prizes are awarded to first-, second-, and third-place teams.
