JAX Business Calendar platform is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We help people discover business, professional, entrepreneurial, and community opportunities across the Jacksonville-area business ecosystem.

2. What This Website Is (and Isn’t)

JAX Business Calendar is primarily an information and discovery Platform.

We:

• Curate and share business and community events, articles, and opportunities
• Allow organizations and community members to submit events and related information
• Send newsletters and other communications people choose to receive
• May publish sponsored, partner, or community content and may promote selected opportunities

Unless an event is expressly identified as hosted, co-hosted, or produced by JAX Business Calendar, we are not the event organizer. We do not control third-party registration, ticketing, pricing, venue access, speakers, attendance, cancellations, or event outcomes.

Nothing on the Platform is legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, employment, or other professional advice.

3. Using the Platform to Discover Events

We work to keep event information useful and current, but many details come from organizers, public sources, partners, or community submissions. Dates, times, locations, pricing, availability, speakers, and other details can change.

Before attending, registering, traveling, or paying for an event, please confirm the important details directly with the organizer. JAX Business Calendar is not responsible for third-party changes, cancellations, inaccuracies, registration decisions, fees, or outcomes.

4. Submitting Events or Other Content

When you submit an event, image, description, link, logo, or other content, you represent that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You have the right and permission to submit it and allow us to use it
• It does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• It is not unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, malicious, or intentionally misleading

You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting it for publication or promotion, you give JAX Business Calendar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit for clarity or formatting, display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with the Platform, our newsletter, and our social channels.

We may edit, decline, postpone, remove, or stop promoting submitted content at our discretion. Submission does not guarantee publication, placement, timing, reach, or continued listing.

• Use our name, logo, branding, or visual identity in a way that suggests an affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement we have not approved

A link or listing does not by itself mean JAX Business Calendar endorses or guarantees the third party.

If you choose to receive our newsletter or marketing communications, you can unsubscribe using the link included in those emails. Transactional or direct responses to requests you send us may still be delivered when appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses, injuries, disputes, costs, or damages arising from attendance at or participation in an event we do not organize, or from transactions or interactions with third parties found through the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. If Your Submission Causes a Claim

If content you submit or your misuse of the Platform causes a third-party claim against JAX Business Calendar, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to defend and indemnify JAX Business Calendar from reasonable claims, damages, liabilities, and costs arising from that submission or misuse. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct.

13. Changes to the Platform or These Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Platform and may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date when we make changes. Your continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

14. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that is not otherwise resolved and that may lawfully be brought in court will be subject to the state or federal courts with jurisdiction in Duval County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
