APA/WTS Joint Event: Luncheon

Join WTS Northeast Florida and APA Florida’s First Coast Section for a panel discussion titled "Rethinking Food Access Through Planning, Food Systems, and Innovation." This event will explore how planning, transportation, development, and innovation can enhance equitable access to healthy food. The discussion will explore factors influencing food access, such as affordability, transportation, work schedules, cultural needs, and neighborhood development patterns. Panelists will address topics including grocery access in revitalizing downtowns, food-supportive mixed-use development, urban agriculture, and alternative food distribution models. Attendees will gain insights into treating food access as a vital component of community and transportation planning. Lunch will be provided, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
