Jacksonville University - Youth Sustainability Leadership Workshop is an environmental education and pitch development workshop for young people ages 15 to 24. Hosted by the City of Jacksonville Office of Sustainability, the workshop introduces participants to Jacksonville’s environmental challenges and opportunities while helping them develop competitive project ideas for Manatee Tank: A Youth Pitch Competition for Sustainability. Attendees can expect an overview of the Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Fund and pitch competition application process, an introduction to Jacksonville’s sustainability and resilience priorities, a Larkin excursion on the St. Johns River, and interactive sessions on identifying community needs, building partnerships, budgeting, developing measurable outcomes, and preparing a compelling proposal and pitch.
